Larry Estrin was hired to design and manage the audio, communications and media support for all the Papal appearances in Los Angeles (1987), New York (1995) and Washington DC and New York (2008). Pete Erskine took care of the comms and phone services. These pictures are from the visit in 2008 when Pope Benedict visited New York. The venue above is Yankee Stadium. As on all the Papal visits, Audio Technica provided all the microphones and some additional support on site.
